About this event

"Turning Point's Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Service (DAWS) would love to celebrate the recovery of our service users in honour of Recovery Month by sharing a delicious meal cooked by a local organisation with people who work and live in our community.

We support people in the London Boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster and welcome anyone who lives or works in this area to come and learn more about what we do.

The meal will be buffet style. There will be a chance to get to know people with lived experience of recovery, our lovely peer mentors will be table hosts, so you can get to know them over the course of the evening.

Expect entertainment from previous clients and peer mentors, as well as a screening of films from the Recovery Film Festival.

There will be a piano performance from someone we have supported an extract of a book read by someone effected by someone else's substance use.

You can also enjoy hearing about highlights of our year and stay up-to-date with our exciting new developments at Turning Point's Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Service (DAWS).

Please only register if you can definitely attend, so we can give the caterers an estimate number for the food. Our first dinner will be free of charge. Going forward we will look into ticketing this event and raising funds for local community groups."
