A recent Healthwatch England report into men's health examined how to improve health outcomes, knowledge and behaviours.

In their survey, 52% of men said they would visit their GP if they experienced mental health problems but only one in five said they would self-refer to NHS Talking Therapies.

Men were significantly less likely than women to turn to their friends and family for mental health support (38% vs 45%).
